14-Speed BlendMaster Ultra

During my tenure at Index Design, I had the opportunity to work on the design and development of this blender for Hamilton Beach.  My specific responsibilities, as part of the design team, included:

• Exploring forms for the overall shape of the base through concept sketching and computer modeling using Alias.
• Measuring the mechanical components and building the selected base housing design around them using Alias design software.
• Researching human factors considerations for the design of the button label, and developing multiple iterations in Illustrator for company review and focus group testing.
• Finishing physical models by sanding and sealing renshape models and interfacing with our prepress department to create production quality graphics.

This blender was sold at Walmart, Target and other retail stores for nearly ten years.
